The Meeting
We were pleased to welcome several guests at this week’s meeting, including Steve Middlebrook, guest of Eleanor Schoonover, Bill Nettles, spouse of Michelle Nettles, and Denise Solis, guest of the speaker Chris Jenkins.
The raffle this week was a basket full of treats made by the lovely Pam Tubbs (including the recipes!). The raffle was won by Jennifer Priest.

Salvation Army Christmas Depot – December 17
Volunteers are needed from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Greenbrier Mall. Marty Raiss hopes to recruit at least 15 Rotarians for this important service project. REGISTER HERE!
On behalf of the Nominating Committee, Barb Lipskis presented the Slate of Officers and Directors for the Rotary Club of Norfolk and Norfolk Rotary Charities for the 2026–2027 Rotary year. She thanked all who have volunteered their time and talents. Members who would like to be considered may still volunteer or be nominated. The Club will vote on the new Boards at the Annual Meeting in January.
John Padgett and Sigur Whitaker attended the Rotary District 7600 Banquet, where our Club received a certificate recognizing us as the Number One Club in Giving. John thanked Sigur for her leadership and contributions toward earning this honor.
Sigur Whitaker also announced that our Club contributed $8,750 on Giving Tuesday.
John Ehehalt reminded members of the need for hosts and chaperones for Career Day.
